The Tundra is a full-dimension truck offered by Toyota Motor Corporation since 1999, when it changed the Toyota T-100. Putting in a brand new CD player in your Tundra requires taking off a portion of the inside sprint panel. Study to install a brand new CD Player in your Tundra, whether you are replacing a broken unit or attempting to improve stereo quality.
Toyota Tundra CD Player Installation Instructions
1. Gather all materials and ensure your work area has sufficient lighting. Installing a new CD player will take approximately half-hour, so be sure you have ample time. If you are putting in an aftermarket CD player, you will need a dash set up kit to mount the player. You will also need a wiring harness to hook up the CD player. In case you are putting in another manufacturing facility CD player, you will not want these items.
2. Pop the hood and disconnect the detrimental battery cable with pliers.
3. Open the ashtray panel within the center of the Tundra’s dash. Take away the screw. Use the trim panel device to take away the middle dash panel. There are four clips to disengage. Models from 2007 and after may also require the removing of the air-conditioning vent controls. Use the trim tool to remove them.
4. Remove the four screws mounting the CD player to the dash and slide out the radio. Disconnect the electrical module and the antenna cable. Set the outdated CD player aside.
5. Mount the dash installation package within the cavity and join the wires to the wiring harness, in line with CD player instructions, if you are putting in an aftermarket CD player. Connect the module to the CD Player and plug in the antenna cable. Mount the CD player within the dash with the screws.
6. Place the trim panel again in place and push, to lock it back in. Exchange the screws you took out earlier and reconnect the battery cable.
